We are a growing property management company seeking an eager, willing-to-learn Property Manager.

Section 8 or affordable housing experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Management of approximately 200 unit multifamily portfolio in Camden, NJ.
  • Ensure rent is collected and posted to RealPage ledgers correctly, batch payments.
  • Issue Late Notices as needed monthly.
  • Documenting and adding charges to tenant ledgers based on staff reports and inspection sheets.
  • Collect delinquent rents, issue non-payment notices and assist in eviction process.
  • Document and issue Non-Payment notices and Lease Violations including Notices to Cease and Notices to Quit for damages, non-compliance, etc.
  • Tracking delinquent rents and late payments to address past-due balances with tenants.
  • Renew or terminate annual leases and follow rent increase procedure for renewals.
  • Perform regular unit inspections, including annual inspections and move-in/move-out inspections and follow up on damages or violations as needed.
  • Walk properties weekly and inspect for cleanliness and curb appeal.
  • Ensure all unit, move-in, move-out and other leasing data is entered into RealPage.
  • Address tenant phone calls and requests regarding rent payments and work orders.
  • Expected to visit all properties as needed to assess community conditions, walk vacant units, perform interior/exterior inspections, meet contractors and inspectors.
  • Assist in move-in and move-out procedure by confirming occupancy status of tenants and coordinating the turnover and security of units.
  • Performing complete lease renewal process including proper notices, executing lease paperwork, and updating tenant files.
  • Maintain resident files including updated lease paperwork, renewals, violations.
  • Manage all maintenance requests by creating, following up, and closing out work orders.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred, and professional certs.
  • 1-3 years minimum experience in property management.
  • Property management software experience (RealPage preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and file maintenance skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.).
  • Regular in-person attendance, 40hrs weekly Monday through Friday

Benefits

  • Salary range: $45,000 - $50,000 per year based upon experience
